This Privacy Policy explains how PitchSide (“we”, “us”, “our”), a product of ProSoftwareTools, handles information when you use our website and cricket scoring app at pitchside.prosoftwaretools.com (the “Service”).
PitchSide works without a login. When you score a match, set up teams, or save preferences, that information is stored locally in your browser (using local storage) on your own device. We do not upload or collect this match data on our servers.
You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for PitchSide.
Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics may record standard technical information such as your approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and pages visited. This is used to keep the Service running and understand general usage. It does not identify you personally.
PitchSide lets you optionally add a player's WhatsApp number when setting up a team, so you can send that player their personal match card after the game. These numbers are stored only on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. When you send a card, it opens WhatsApp on your device with the message pre-filled — you choose to send it. Only add numbers of people who are happy to receive their scorecard.
If you allow it, PitchSide may request weather information for your area from a third-party weather service (Open-Meteo) to display match-day conditions. Your approximate location may be sent to that service for this purpose. This feature is optional and the app works fully without it.
We may display advertisements through third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to show relevant ads and measure their performance.
If you choose to purchase a Pro plan in the future, payments will be processed by a secure third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers. Any payment information is handled by the payment provider under their own privacy terms.
PitchSide is a general-audience cricket scoring tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
